Berry
Tango |
Berry is a CPA and computer techie, who
discovered Argentine Tango while looking for an activity she and her sister in
Denver could do together. She immediately fell in love with the passion,
intimacy, partner connection and infinite variety that is at the very heart of
Tango (Tango has no defined/required steps or patterns), thus causing each
dance to be what the partners make it. Berry and her sister now travel to 7 - 9
Tango Festivals in the USA and abroad each year, to connect with others who
share their passion for the dance. Berry also takes advantage of her jobs'
travel schedule - as Tango is a Social Dance, she dances with an average of 50
partners a week between Washington, DC, Baltimore, Chicago, and Atlanta. For
the past three years she has also sponsored quarterly Milongas (Tango Social
Dances) at the Holly Springs Depot, providing a Buenos Aires style atmosphere
including Live Music and dancing until the wee hours of the morning. Berry is
a life-long resident of Cherokee County, and is now passing on her knowledge of
the Fundamentals of tango to the local community, in the hopes that others will
be inspired to take up Tango. As one of her partners is fond of saying, "Got
Date Night? WANT Date Night? Tango is great for that - it gets all parties
working TOGETHER on something - learning, experimenting and growing as they
go". As you will often hear in Tango, "Tangle up, then Tango on", just like
life itself.
