Neta brings over
10 years of teaching
experience and 8 years of professional dance experience with her to the Dance
and Music Academy of Woodstock. She has 25 years of training in various
styles of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Modern, Musical Theatre
and Cheer. She has trained from coast to coast, at Alvin Ailey in New York City
and as a scholarship student at The Edge in Hollywood, CA. Ms. Thurman has a
Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish and Bilingual Education from The
Pennsylvania State University, where she minored in Sociology and
Interdisciplinary Dance, while competing nationally on the Penn State Dance
Team.
Neta began her dance teaching career in State College, PA
where for five years she helped to build the Jazz Company program at Centre
Dance. She has danced professionally with the Atlanta Hawks, Royal Caribbean
cruise ships and is currently in her second season as a professional cheerleader. Neta has taught locally at the North Atlanta Dance Academy in
Roswell and the Georgia Dance Conservatory in Marietta. She has both
choreographed and judged auditions for the GA Tech Dance Team and travels around
the country to teach camps for high school dance teams. |
