Registration

• A 2 week deposit and the first tuition payment are required at registration.  If accounts are current at the end of the school year, the deposit will be returned.  You may also choose to apply the deposit towards recital tickets or summer lessons. 

• We accept cash, check, credit card, and PayPal payments.

Tuition Payments 

• Tuition is due on the 1st of every month. A $10 late fee will be automatically applied to accounts with balances after the 8^th.  A $25 fee will be applied for all returned checks.

• Your monthly tuition covers 4 weeks of lessons.  Please refer to the music lesson payment calendar to see how payments are applied.

• Music lessons will continue during the summer for 5 weeks (week of June 13^th – week of July 11^th).  You will be able to schedule make up lessons for any weeks during this period that you will be on vacation.  Tuition for this 5 week summer session is due by June 1^st.

Cancellation/Makeup Policy 

Student Cancellation

• Students are required to give notice no later than 12Noon on the lesson day in order to be able to make up that lesson.  If proper notice is given, you may make up that lesson. If proper notice is not given, the lesson is forfeited and no money will be refunded. 

• No more than one make up lesson per 8 week time period will be allowed.

• Please schedule your make up lesson directly with your teacher.

 Late Arrivals

• If you arrive late for a lesson, the teacher is only obligated to give instruction for the remaining time left as they may have lessons scheduled with another student immediately after.  Tuition will not be prorated as the teacher needs to be compensated for their time spent at the studio. 

Student Withdrawal 

• Students are required to give 30 days written notice in order to withdraw from DMA.  This is to give the school sufficient notice in order to be able to try to refill that time slot.  If 30 days notice is not given, the 2 week deposit will be forfeited. 

 Recital 

• Music students that start in the fall semester (Aug-Dec) will have the option of participating in the Spring Recital held May 29^th, 2011.  Music students that join after December will be able to participate in the spring recital of 2012.

• Music students will perform in small groups of 2 or 3.  If students are not able to attend the lesson times of their partners for group practice towards the end of the school year, extra rehearsals may be scheduled at a cost if $10 per student per practice.
