COMPETITION
Rising 2nd-12th Grade
DMA believes that competitive dance provides the opportunity for growth not only in a dancer's performance, technique, and artistry; but also in their ability to work as a team, take direction, and develop resilience and a strong work ethic.

Competition dancers take class in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. Older teams have an additional Choreo & Conditioning class.

Competition dancers participate in our Fall Show (company), Nutcracker (star & company), 4 regional Competitions and Spring Recital.
COMPETITION Audition - $25 Fee
Dancers will be asked to demonstrate technical skills and learn and perform combinations in Jazz and Contemporary styles. All dancers trying out for competition must ALSO sign up for Star/Company Auditions for ballet class placement.
Rising 2nd-3rd Grade - Sun 4/26 12:00-1:00pm
Rising 4th-5th Grade - Sun 4/26 1:00-2:30pm
Rising 8th-9th Grade - Sun 4/26 4:30-6:30pm
Rising 10th-12th Grade - Sun 4/26 6:30-8:30pm
Rising 6th-7th Grade - Sun 4/26 2:30-4:00pm

IMPACT Program
The IMPACT Program is designed for K/1 and 2nd/3rd graders to dip their toes into the competition world.

IMPACT dancers will compete 1 routine at 2 regional competitions. Please note that this is a full school-year commitment.

No audition is required, but must have previous dance experience.
COMPANY
Rising 4th-12th Grade
Company at DMA is a versatile dance program focused on strong technical training, performance opportunities, and being part of our dance community.

Company dancers take 4 classes a week (2 Ballet, 1 Jazz & 1 Modern/Contemporary)

This is a ballet audition. Dancers currently en pointe and electing to do pointe for the upcoming school year should audition en pointe.
Dancers will be asked to demonstrate center and across the floor combinations.
All dancers trying out for competition must ALSO sign up for Star/Company Auditions for ballet class placement.

Rising 6th-7th Grade - Sat 4/25 11:30am-1:00pm
Rising 8th-9th Grade - Sat 4/25 1:30-3:30pm
